Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver after a motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 on Thursday, February 11, 2021. At approximately 7:15 pm an officer traveling westbound on Highway 401 between Brighton and Colborne observed a vehicle on its roof in the eastbound lanes just west of County Road 30. While at the scene, officers began an impaired driving investigation and, subsequently, arrested the driver of the motor vehicle once he was cleared from being assessed by paramedics.

As a result of the investigation, the OPP say Raymond NEVILLE (age 39) of Ajax, Ontario, has been charged with: Operation while impaired – alcohol Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on a date in March 2021.
