A 63-year-old Clarington male has died as a result of a snowmobile collision near Newtonville over the weekend.

According to Durham Regional Police Service, emergency services were called for a serious collision on private property on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m. A male was operating his snowmobile on a laneway when he was ejected, sustaining life-threatening injuries.

The 63-year-old was rushed to Bowmanville by Region of Durham Paramedic Services and later transported to a Toronto Trauma centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
