With Remembrance day approaching in a few weeks, a resident from Oshawa Kathleen Schwartz has started her fundraising for the Legion by selling her crochet Poppies, that are available at the Legion branch 43 at 471 Simcoe St S, Oshawa or by request.
Mrs. Schwartz this year because of COVID19 she is also making custom face masks. A mask (select colors) with a poppy and wording ” Lest we Forget” will be sold for $15. If you would like to add wording to memorialize your loved one to replace “Lest we Forget”, you can pre-order for $20. As always, time and material will be donated and 100% of the proceeds with be donated to the Legion in memory of her uncle Ronald William (Jim) McTague Oct 1, 1937 – Apr 24, 2016.
