After organizers canceled a car rally that was set to happen on Sunday, October the 11th, in Pickering, Durham Regional Police were kept busy dealing with vehicles that still came into the area.

Police were patrolling the area of Kingston and Brock Road for the afternoon and evening. Three vehicles were impounded for illegal modifications, and two drivers were charged with Stunt Racing. A total of 50 Provincial Offence Notices were issued for various traffic violations, as well.

That same evening approximately 10 pm, Go transit called the police as several vehicles were racing inside the parking garage at the Pickering Go station. Police blocked off the exits, and 19 people were charged with trespassing. Durham Regional Police also say about half of those in attendance were not from Durham Region.

Durham Regional Police would also like to thank the organizers for canceling the event, and also remind motoring enthusiasts to be aware that the dangerous operation of motor vehicles will not be tolerated.
