Three people have been taken into custody, and a 20-year-old Oshawa male was found deceased after a shooting at 666 King Street E in Oshawa.

It was just after 10 pm on Monday, October 5, 2020, when Durham Regional Police Service and Region of Durham Paramedic Services responded to the King Street E apartment building. A 20-year-old male was found deceased in the outside parking lot where the shooting took place. Three persons from the building have been taken into custody as part of this ongoing investigation. A firearm was also recovered at the scene.

Police say this morning that this is an ongoing investigation and no charges have been laid at this time. Investigators are looking for witnesses to come forward.

This is the seventh homicide in Durham Region for 2020.
