Durham Regional Police are trying to identify a male suspect from the scene of a stabbing incident in Oshawa early Thursday morning.

It happened on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at approximately 1:41 a.m., Police and Region of Durham Paramedic Services were called regarding an injured male at John Street and Simcoe Street South in Oshawa. Two males were involved in a verbal altercation which ended up with one of the males suffering stab wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police do not have much suspect information and are asking any witnesses to contact investigators at the Central East Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5100.
