Durham Regional Police investigators have identified the type of vehicle involved in the serious failure to remain investigation from Monday night.


Police were able to collect several pieces of evidence at the collision scene, and it is believed that the vehicle is a 2001 Cadillac DeVille. The vehicle will have substantial front passenger-side damage. 


The 14-year-old victim remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries. 


Investigators are urging the suspect to retain a lawyer and turn themselves into police.
