Investigators with the Durham Regional Police Services are releasing a surveillance photo of a suspect who robbed an Oshawa restaurant last week.

On Monday, February 3, 2020, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the victim was in the process of closing the Shawarma 401 restaurant on Wilson Road North. The suspect asked to come in to warm up for a few minutes. The victim allowed him into the restaurant and this was when the suspect, armed with a knife, made a demand for cash. The suspect eventually left the store empty-handed.

Officers attended the scene to searched the area with negative results.

The victim didn’t suffer any physical injuries.

The suspect is described as male, white, medium build, mid 40’s, 6’1” tall. He was wearing a grey coat, black pants and blue hat.
