On Monday, February 10th, Durham Regional Police Services, Region of Durham Paramedic Services and Oshawa Fire responded to Rossland Square at Rossland and Wilson road at approximately 5:30 pm after a good samaritan called 911 after observing four teens in a car.

Police report that there were two teen boys, and two teen girls in a car. When first responders arrived, one of the females was turning blue. Thanks to the quick thinking of the good samaritan, and first responders these teenagers were helped just in time.

Paramedics from Region of Durham Paramedic Services and officers from Durham Regional Police Services report that the teens were experiencing an opioid overdose, as a result. All four were treated in hospital.

Officers also report that the person responsible for selling the drugs to the teens was held in custody and charged.
