Durham Regional Police Service are trying to identify two suspects who robbed a Pickering convenience store at gunpoint last night.

On Sunday, December 22, 2019, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police responded to an armed robbery at the Smart Food Fair Convenience store on the Pickering Parkway near Denmar Road in Pickering. Two masked males entered the store, and one was brandishing a handgun. They both jumped over the counter and grabbed a number of cigarettes and change before fleeing in an easterly direction.

The employee was not physically injured. The K-9 Unit attended the area, and officers searched for the suspects, but no arrests were made.

Suspect #1 is described as a male, black, about 20-25 years old, 5’10” tall with a heavy build, wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood and black track pants.

Suspect #2 is described as a male, black, about 20 years old, about 5’10” tall with a skinny building, wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood and black track pants. Both males were described as having Jamaican accents.
