A 33-year-old male remains in critical condition after he was stabbed in Bowmanville on Sunday night.

On Sunday July 7, 2019, at approximately 9:40 p.m., members of Durham Regional Police Services East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Queen Street and Temperance Street in Bowmanville. A 33-year-old male had been stabbed multiple times by a male suspect who fled the scene on a bicycle. The suspect was seen heading north on Temperance Street. The victim was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where he remains in critical condition.

There is no suspect information at this time and police are asking witnesses to come forward.
