Police say quick action by a Durham Regional Police officer likely saved the life of a man who was stabbed in Oshawa Friday night.
It was just before 10:30 when the 911 call came in for a male that was stabbed and bleeding heavily from what may have been an arterial wound on his lower body.

An officer that was first on the scene in the area of Wilson and Athol and used a tourniquet to slow the bleeding down until Region of Durham Paramedic Services arrived and rushed him to Sunnybrook

This morning the male remains in stable condition, and the investigation continues for suspects
