An Uxbridge male is recovering in hospital after being stabbed at an apartment building in Uxbridge early this morning.
On Saturday, January 26, 2019 at approximately 2 a.m., a 55-year-old male attended Uxbridge Hospital with blood on his clothes, but uninjured. He indicated he had been in a fight with another male at an apartment on Perry Street in Uxbridge.
Durham Regional Police and Region of Durham Paramedic Services located a 61-year-old male in the apartment building suffering from serious stab wounds. He was rushed by ambulance to Uxbridge Hospital and later airlifted by Ornge to a Toronto trauma center with multiple, serious wounds. He is currently in stable but critical condition.
Officers arrested the 55-year-old male of No Fixed Address and he will be charged with: Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.
