An impaired driver who fled from Durham Regional Police early Sunday morning in Oshawa, was found hiding under a deck after being tracked by the Tactical Support Unit, K9 unit with PSD Flex and Air1
The chase started just after midnight on Nov. 4, when police attempted to stop a suspected impaired driver near King Street East and Townline Rd in Oshawa.
The driver failed to stop and took police on a chase that ended at a plaza behind the Pizza Pizza at King and Wilson
The driver then got out of the vehicle and ran.
Police tracked the suspect with the help of the tactical unit, K9 unit and Air 1 helicopter PSD Flex located the suspect under a deck of a house hiding eventually locating the man hiding under a deck at a home on Gliddon Ave
A 46-year-old Oshawa man is charged with flight from police, impaired driving by drug, breach of probation, theft of a vehicle and possession of stolen property.
