A 42-year-old male was involved in a serious motor vehicle collision at Clarington Concession Road 7 and Liberty Street North in Clarington.
On Saturday, October 27, 2018, at approximately 3:01 a.m., officers from East Division were called to a serious, single-motor vehicle collision.  A black Jeep Wrangler was westbound on Clarington Concession Road 7 and left the roadway at the intersection of Liberty Street North and struck a hydro pole. As a result of the collision, the male driver was ejected from the motor vehicle.
The 42-year-old driver of the Jeep was treated at the scene and then transported to a local hospital where he was treated and then sent to a Toronto-area hospital for further treatment.
Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
