A taxi driver was hit in the face and robbed Sunday morning in Oshawa.

Durham Regional Police were called to the Oshawa GO Train station on Thornton Road at about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 30.

The driver was robbed and the suspect even took his debit machine.

The suspect fled but not too far as officers quickly caught up and a 22 year old Oshawa man was arrested a short time later and charged with robbery.

Great work by officers
